Dance of the Tears

New piece for trombone and marimba by Spiros Exaras, performed by two of the world's best virtuosos. Achilles Liarmakopoulos on trombone and Theodor Milkov on marimba.

“Dance of the Tears” was composed during the COVID era, inspired by the small glimmers of optimism amidst the surreal and painful reality of the pandemic. The composer uses certain elements in his chords, rhythm and melody to give a promising feel to the song. He chose marimba for its playful and unique sound, and trombone for its deep, harsh but lyrical tone. “Dance of the Tears” is a hymn for the victims and survivors of the virus
